February, 7, 2020: For years, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has ignored letters from scientists, doctors, the American Academy of Pediatrics and others about updating its antiquated wireless radiation exposure guidelines.
This week, two legal actions were taken against the FCC.
The first is a historic legal action by Children’s Health Defense (CHD), an organization led by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. CHD’s mission is to end chronic health conditions among children such as autism, ADHD, allergies, asthma, mental health conditions and more. CHD recognizes that wireless radiation contributes to illness in children.
“FCC’s obsolete guidelines and the false sense of safety they provide enabled the uncontrolled proliferation of wireless technology and the ongoing deployment of 5G, which will exponentially increase exposure to this harmful radiation.”

The other legal action against the FCC was taken by Environmental Health Trust (EHT) and others. EHT was established ten years ago and is a non-profit organization led by Dr. Devra Davis, a Nobel prize-winning scientist. EHT’s vision is a thriving world where technology is both state-of-the-art and safe for all.
In a February 4, 2020 article about the action, Dr. Davis said:
“The FCC has for years failed to protect public health by relying on 24-year-old safety tests designed when phones were the size of a shoe and used by few,” Davis said.

We hope these actions result in the FCC finally updating its decade’s old wireless radiation exposure guidelines. Because right now, FCC compliance does NOT equate with safety for humans or the environment.
