August 7, 2019: Press Release, Wisconsin Legislature and Governor Evers Endanger Public Health

They Ignore Warnings from Doctors, Researchers, and Wisconsinites and Listen to 5G Safety Assurances from an Industry-sponsored Physics Professor.

August 7, 2019: Eric Swanson, a Professor of Theoretical Physics from the University of Pittsburgh, was brought in as an industry-paid expert to testify in favor of Wisconsin’s 5G legislation by the CTIA (formerly the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association now known as CTIA – The Wireless Associaton). His testimony on May 29, 2019 at the public hearings in Madison was inaccurate and likely slanderous when he spoke about Dr. Devra Davis, Ph.D.

This Press Release was sent out to Wisconsin media on August 7, 2019 in defense of one of our experts, Dr. Davis, a prominent, award-winning scientist.

Wisconsinites, in opposition to Wisconsin’s 5G legislation, testified to lawmakers about the biological effects that can be caused by electromagnetic radiation also known as wireless radiation (cancer, DNA damage, fetal effects, reproductive harm, migraines, neurological and cognitive problems, etc.).

In addition to stating that cell phones and 5G are safe, Swanson testified erroneously in reference to the large number of serious biological effects caused by wireless radiation:

“Cigarette smoke causes lung cancer. Leaded gas causes developmental problems. Bright sunlight causes sunburn. One thing causes one thing.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control, “Smoking causes cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Smoking also increases risk for tuberculosis, certain eye diseases, and problems of the immune system, including rheumatoid arthritis.” and “A person who is exposed to lead over time may feel: abdominal pain, constipated, depressed, distracted, forgetful, irritable, nauseous/sick. People with prolonged exposure to lead may also be at risk for high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, and reduced fertility.” In other words, environmental pollutants often cause more than one health effect.

More and more, Wisconsinites and citizens across the U.S. are looking past all of the 5G hype. It’s a shame that most of our lawmakers have been swayed by Big Telecom and worse, are ignoring the science proving that wireless radiation is harmful to humans and the environment.

It feels like the Wild West in Wisconsin.
